Through 11 key programs, Catholic Charities Indianapolis serves any person in need of our services, regardless of their religious, social or economic backgrounds. More than 18,000 individuals -- mostly women and children living below the federal poverty line – are served each year.

The Angel GABRIEL was sent as a Messenger of God. "Rejoice! Fear not!" were his words of encouragement and hope delivered to the Madonna in announcement of her unexpected pregnancy. The Gabriel Project works to deliver this same message of hope to pregnant women today. Our mission is to respect all life -- at any age, in any circumstance. This means that we are profoundly committed not only to the unborn, but also to their mothers.

The goals of youth ministry are to provide connections and relationships for young people, empowering them to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today, and to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person. NFCYM offers opportunities for young people who are “searching for a noble adventure,” a compelling and challenging vision of life, and a cause worth their commitment.

The Family Center offers programs and activities directed toward formation in the Catholic Faith. It seeks to assist families to grow and remain morally strong in today's culture of moral relativism. The Family Center is supported by a Pontifical Apostolic Movement, Regnum Christi.

Rachel's Vineyard is a safe place to renew, rebuild and redeem hearts broken by abortion. Weekend retreats offer you a supportive, confidential and non-judgmental environment where women and men can express, release and reconcile painful post-abortive emotions to begin the process of restoration, renewal and healing.

The word Retrouvaille™ (pronounced re-tro-vi with a long i.) is a French word meaning rediscovery. The program offers tools needed to rediscover a loving marriage relationship. Thousands of couples headed for cold, unloving relationships or divorce have successfully overcome their marriage problems. Retrovaille provides a framework to improve communications between a husband and wife, providing an opportunity to rediscover each other and examine their lives together in new and positive ways.

The Little Sisters at St. Augustine’s Home work with over 100 full and part-time staff members and more than 300 volunteers to provide a loving home for 90-some needy elderly, offering a continuum of care through independent living apartments, assisted living, or total nursing care.

St. Elizabeth/Coleman Pregnancy and Adoption Services, rooted in Catholic tradition, believes that every child has a right to a healthy, loving family. They provide life-long services to empower women and families of all faiths by offering support, compassion and professional guidance. They provide adoption services, community education and outreach, and crisis/unplanned pregnancy services, among other professional services.

The Society of St. Vincent dePaul offers assistance to those who have fallen upon times of hardship and personal crisis. SVdP provides food, clothing, housing assistance, utility assistance, furniture, and bus tokens to those in need. The Indianapolis SVdP Council is operated and maintained by uncompensated volunteers. We receive no Church money, beyond poor box collections, no government funding and no United Way money unless specifically designated by the donor. 100% of donations help the needy.
